Jim Williams

Jim Williams brings 17 years of experience in the areas of Finance, Logistics, Human Resources, IT Management, and Consulting with a strong emphasis in Oracle Applications and Technology. Jim started his career in Finance as an Analyst, was promoted to Accounting Manager responsible for period close, financial statements, budget development as well as external audit. Leveraging his financial knowledge and accomplishment, Jim took a position at OHSU as Assistant Director of Logistics with budget and operational responsibilities for procurement & contracting, warehousing & distribution, and departmental applications for a $200 million supply chain. It was during his tenure in logistics that Jim was asked to be the business owner of procurement and inventory for an Oracle ERP implementation. This early Oracle exposure pushed Jim’s career into IT Management and Project Management. As the Program Manager of OHSU’s transformational 11i project, Jim and his team accomplished the following firsts:

  • First Healthcare provider live on Oracle’s 11i Inventory module (2000)
  • First  customer live on Oracle’s 11i Grant Accounting and Labor Distribution modules (2001)
  • First customer live on Oracle’s 11i iRecruitment module (2002)

Jim’s accomplishments propelled OHSU into a healthcare showcase site for Oracle and Jim’s career further into IT management at OHSU. Jim was promoted to Director of Applications Management responsible for all Financial, Administrative, Student, Research, and Healthcare enterprise applications. In 2004, Jim left his position at OHSU to co-found Jibe consulting along with Shane Moncrieff, and Greg Tyner.

Jim has spent the last 7 years at Jibe building a solid reputation as one of Jibe’s senior leaders as well as a sought after Management and Technology Consultant. Jim has lead and participated in hundreds of engagements driving high value solutions and engagements for Jibe’s clients. Jim takes great pride in his leadership in building Jibe Consulting’s corporate culture of dynamic, highly motivated, experienced and customer service oriented consultants.

Jim is a graduate from Willamette University with a degree in Business Economics.  Jim splits time between Seattle, WA and Portland, OR.
