Oracle Business Intelligence Architect with expertise in Oracle’s BI Applications for E-Business suite. Ideal candidate will possess strong data warehousing design skills, business intelligence architecture knowledge and extensive knowledge of ERP systems.  This position will assist in providing critical technical solutions on cutting edge Oracle projects for leading companies throughout the Pacific Northwest.
 

Responsibilities 

  • Design and build complex solutions for BI & Reporting project using OBIEE.
  • Lead team in the implementation of ETL, data modeling, reporting & dashboard development.
  • Provide hands on development of solutions.
  • Provide development support for critical production databases.
  • Document issue resolution & provide status reports to key team members.
  • Provide frequent phone and email communication with customers and internal resources.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting for batch processing.
  • Detailed knowledge of Oracle OBIEE, Answers, Delivers, BI Publisher, Dashboards, OBAW is required.
  • Strong ETL experience with Informatica is required.
  • ETL Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP integration, such as Oracle E-Business Suite is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Oracle’s prebuilt BI Applications (OBIA) for E-Business Suite, Siebel, OTM or Peoplesoft is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data modeling concepts, including Fact/Dimension design, database schema design, i.e. star/snowflake schemas, mapping OLTP to OLAP/DW query structures.
  • Experience leading a team of 2 or more developers in both remote and onsite models.
  • Understanding of key business integration architectures for ETL.
  • Additional experience with Oracle Discoverer, Cognos, Business Objects, or other relevant BI solutions is a plus.
  • Good working knowledge of implementation methodologies & documentation standards such as AIM.
  • Self-disciplined with strong initiative
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written, email and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a member of various teams

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7-10 years extensive experience creating complex development solutions for Data Warehouse, Reporting, or BI solutions.
  • 5 or more years of experience using relational concepts with Oracle’s SQL and PL/SQL languages with 11g, 10g & 9i databases, including Data Warehousing database design concepts.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Information Systems or relevant experience/certifications.
  • Oracle OCA or OCP certification is a plus.
