Excellence, stewardship and commitment to our communities has been the standard at Jibe since our founding in 2004. The consultants, staff and management of Jibe remain committed to meeting the needs of today without compromising those of tomorrow. We commit to be a leader among professional services firms and within the larger business community in reducing our Earth impacts and in serving clients who pursue sustainability goals.
Commitment to our Clients
Jibe enjoys a strong client base of sustainable industries, such as renewable energy (wind) and power (fuel), and has a reputation for its expertise in manufacturing and services. In order to better serve our clients, we will:
- Develop and maintain cutting-edge expertise in the business processes and technologies of sustainable development, environmental responsibility, conservation, renewable resources and clean technologies.
- Contribute to the advancement of technologies that support sustainability efforts.
- Support sustainability efforts in our community.
Commitment to Sustainable Business Practices
Jibe will become an innovator in pursuing sustainability goals. In order to more directly reduce the Earth impact of our own operations, we will:
Apply sustainability criteria in the purchase of supplies, equipment, and services.
Waste Reduction and Recycling
Continually improve practices that minimize the use of paper in data storage, printing and copying and communications. Continually seek to improve systems to minimize disposables and packaging, reuse equipment and supplies where feasible, and maximize recycling.
Further reduce energy consumption and improve efficiency in heating/cooling, lighting and equipment.
Reduce business travel where feasible and reduce the impact of necessary travel by improving fuel efficiency. We will investigate using alternative fuels, providing Flex Car and supporting public transportation. In the future we will look towards purchasing carbon offsets.
Expand the commuter incentives we offer to our consultants, staff and managers to encourage use of mass transit, carpooling, walking and bicycles.
Utilize our working space more efficiently in order to reduce our footprint in proportion to the number of professionals. Specify materials that that are high in recycled content, recyclable or biodegradable and durable.
Establish an education and incentive program to encourage each person in the firm to contribute to the success of this policy. This education and incentive program also will address opportunities for individuals to incorporate sustainability concepts into their personal lives.
As a sustainability leader in the community, share our policies, ideas and actions for sustainable business practices and our progress assessments with other professional services firms. Encourage our consultants to be active in their committees encouraging sustainable business practices.
